The Cowboy

This idea started when my friend Ivan gave me a small toy gun - he had a bunch of random crap he'd been saving, and when he heard that's what I made my art out of, he eagerly offered it to me.

This piece is made out of assorted metals, quite a lot of it rusty (and found out in the wilderness), leather pieces, some .22 shells, wire, and of course the gun. There's also a piece of straw in his "mouth".

I did the sewing for the leather myself, though I never really used any thread - I mostly just made holes and used wire or even screws. The bandolier (that thing with all the bullets) was fun to do. I broke a needle working on the "chaps" for the legs, but in the end this was totally worth it.
